The City of Caliente is recruiting for a current opening for Utility Groundman. This position is responsible for building, maintaining and repairing overhead and underground power distribution and transmissions lines.
The position requires: 1) a High School Diploma or GED; 2) a current valid Nevada Driver’s License, a CDL or ability to obtain one within 12 months of obtaining position; 3) the physical strength and agility to perform the essential functions of this position (job description available at City Hall); 4) a background clear of felony convictions; and 5) be able to pass a drug test.
This is an entry level position starting at $10.00 an hour, plus excellent benefits. The current schedule is 6am to 4pm four days a week, with emergency call out as needed.
The selection process for this position will consist of a panel interview.
